Art Atlanta 2011 was Amazing!
Art Atlanta, Hammonds House Museum’s Annual Art Auction Benefit made midtown Atlanta the place to be on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Celebrating our 10th year anniversary, sophisticated Art Patrons along with Saturday night party goers, all experienced art in a new and exciting way. If you didn’t know it was all about art, you would have thought you were attending a movie premiere. Hundreds attended the almost “movie premiere” like event where they experienced wonderful art from ceiling to floor, delicious culinary creations by top restaurants, and slamming music throughout the gallery…all in an effort to benefit Hammonds House Museum.
Artwork by local and national artists laced the walls of the exquisite Bill Lowe Gallery. The silent art sections covered the walls as auction attendees quickly focused in on particular artworks and the bidding wars began. The live auction featured key works by noted artists such as Samella Lewis, Louis Delsarte and Paul S. Benjamin to name a few.
Art can reflect life and the emotions we experience. Art Atlanta for many, was an exciting experience that was also visually stimulating.
